Ebey’s Landing Engagement Photos

NORA + GREG

This was the first time I’d been to Whidbey Island and Ebey’s Landing definitely blew me away.

I truly had never been anywhere quite like Ebey’s Landing before. I shoot all over the Oregon Coast, but this was my first time shooting on a Washington coastline. the first thing I noticed was the color of the water, and how close the tide was to the parking lot. We pulled up and it was RIGHT there. Was legitimately afraid for a moment that it was going to hit the cars. Clearly, it was high tide. This made for a really high energy at our shoot. It was windy, wild, and our shoot date was deep into the heart of fall. We took a fairy from Seattle, which was a super fun experience because because we’d also planned to take a few photos while on deck This was Nora + Greg’s idea and I’m so glad we made it happen. Nora and Greg also had a whole trip planned for the weekend, and starting out with their engagement shoot really set things off right. I could see how excited they were to just get some relaxing in after our shoot, which made for really fun photos. These two were also incredibly easy to shoot. Nora was/is an actress/singer, and had no problem playing around in front of the camera. Greg eased right in and responded perfectly with her playfulness—laughing at her, spinning her, pulling her hat over her head, and letting his hair down for a few shots. Side note—I really love when guys have long hair in photos. If you’re thinking of cutting your hair before a shoot, hold back and wait until after you get some super cool photos!

I really l this couples energy with mine.. we are all creatives, and I love how much trust they put in me to just do my thing and come up with something amazing. Their outfits and style really fit the surroundings, but you could also tell it was true to their personalities. I will be shooting their wedding in March of 2022 in Utah at Sundance. Can’t wait to work with them again!
