Okay, so about this insanely beautiful, teal blue Diablo Lake water…

I had been DYING to shoot at Diablo Lake for years. The incredible color of the water, the overlook with mountains that perfectly cascade toward a center point, and the easily accessible viewpoints had been calling my name for a while. However, when Covid hit, the park stopped allowing visitors and my dreams were crushed for about a year or so. When Shaz and Brandon reached out earlier this year and expressed their openness to shooting ANYWHERE, I just had to throw this location into the bunch. Once they expressed their similar admiration for the lake, I reached out to the park to check to see if they’d be open, and fortunately, they were! Cheers to these two for being so open to any rad location idea, and for putting complete trust in me and my opinions. Shaz is Australian and Brandon is from the US, so getting Shaz here for the wedding was no small feat. After over a year apart during Covid, Shaz was FINALLY able to get approval to come to the US and get married. It was a bit of a whirlwind and I think it almost seemed impossible at times, but days after being here, these two were able to get married on US soil. Congrats to these two on their marriage, and for being star-cross lovers, determined and wild enough to make things work.
