GINA + MONTE
I had such a lovely adventure hike with Gina + Monte to Wahclella Falls.
These two had been to Wahclella Falls before the Eagle Creek Fire in 2017. This was there first time back since the fire, and my first time ever to the falls. I had so much fun chatting with them, getting to know them, hearing about their lives (Gina has been making jewelry, and Monte is a musician). We talked about Portland, their lives together, and their ideas for their wedding in April. I really love the true Oregon vibes in their photos—jean jackets, cozy hats/boots, a cloudy day, a waterfall, and green moss everywhere. THIS is Oregon to me. So glad I got to work with these two, and cannot wait for the wedding in April!
For any photographers looking to shoot at Wahclella Falls, here is the link to the trailhead: Wahclella Falls Trailhead. From there, the hike should take about 15-20 minutes up and back. I recommend stopping along the way though, to get some action/hiking shots. We took these at the end of October from 4-6pm. Sunset was at 6pm. The lighting was perfect.
