Benson Hotel Wedding Portland
MELINDA + JAKE
This was my first wedding at The Benson. It was built in the early 1900’s and is located in the heart of downtown Portland.
It has a super swanky style with dim lighting and unique details/fixtures. A lot of photographer shy away from dim lighting, but I had a blast working it. I loved playing with the big windows and cool colors/textures. This was a super special wedding for me. Melinda and Jake are the absolute sweetest. They were so kind, warm, and welcoming to me on their wedding day. I felt like I had full creative ability to do what I do best! Melinda’s shrug fit perfectly with the early 1900’s aesthetic. I would describe this wedding as upscale glam. I can’t wait to shoot another wedding at The Benson.
Also want to shout out to Madeline Moore Events for her execution! I could not have been more impressed with the way she handled everything. They flipped the ceremony site for the reception and everything was done swiftly and flawlessly! Be sure to check her out if you’re planning a wedding in the PNW. She absolutely kills it.
